Main or Side

Okay, gamers—let's settle this once and for all. Are you the type who charges straight through the main storyline, or do you get totally lost in side quests like I do? 😂
Be honest! Because if there's a "Find 5 missing chickens"task while the world is ending… I'm probably out chasing chickens.
Why I always fall for side quests 🧭
I'll admit it—I'm a side quest kind of player. Every time I promise myself, "This time I'll focus on the main story,"something random pops up. A mysterious NPC. A secret fishing challenge. A sad ghost who needs help. And boom—I'm off-track again. But honestly, I love it that way.
There's just something magical about exploring the little corners of the game world. It's where you find hidden gems, emotional mini-stories, or just plain weird and hilarious moments. Some of my favorite in-game memories come from side quests I almost skipped.
Main story moments hit hard too 🎬
That said, I totally respect a good main storyline. When it's well-written and cinematic, nothing beats the thrill of seeing how everything comes together. Boss fights, dramatic betrayals, plot twists that leave you speechless—it's like watching a movie you're actually part of.
There have been times where I dropped everything else and binged through the main story like it was a Netflix series. When a game nails that pacing, you feel totally hooked.
But do we have to choose? 😅
Honestly, I don't think we have to pick one or the other. The best games let us do both—run off on silly side missions and come back to save the world when we're ready. That balance is what makes open-world games so addicting.
Let's chat, fellow gamers 🎮💬
Now I wanna hear from you—Are you a "complete every side quest before touching the main story"type? Or do you stick to the main path and avoid distractions?
Drop your playstyle below and tell me your favorite side quest or main story moment. I know we all have that one mission we still think about. Let's geek out together 😄
