With its unique charm, the snow-capped mountains attract many mountaineering enthusiasts. But in the beautiful scenery, there are many dangers hidden. So we have to bring the necessary climbing tools.

What items do we need to prepare when entering the snow mountain?

A large enough backpack is required.

There are daily necessities, hygiene products, tools, standing medicines, orientation chart instruments, entertainment products, paper stationery, sewing tools, lighting tools, sporting goods and so on.

Technical equipment.

Ice axe: A long ice axe is suitable for walking on gently sloping terrain, and a shorter ice axe is more suitable for climbing steep slopes.

Crampons: The crampons require that the shoes must have crampons, which are very stable after being fixed, and are more free and convenient to put on and take off.

The strapped crampons can be used with any hiking shoes without limitation, but the fixation is not as firm as the full-clamp crampons, and it is troublesome to put on and take off.

Mountaineering rope: Mountaineering ropes generally use power ropes, and there are several specifications.

According to the climbing technique, there are single ropes, half ropes, and double ropes. It is best to use dry ropes that do not absorb water when climbing ice and snow mountains.

Other technical equipment: seat belts, helmets, oxygen equipment, altimeters, hygrometers, climbing ropes, lifts, snow shovels, etc.

Camping equipment.

Tent: The outdoor tent has better waterproof and windproof performance, and the weight is controlled under 2.5 kg. It is best to choose a small, light and portable double tent.

Moisture-proof pads: The requirements for moisture-proof pads are not high.

Emergency equipment.

First aid kit: Emergency medicines should be complete, usually for trauma, burns, insect bites, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, cramp prevention and personal special needs.

Flashlight: It should have good waterproofness, portability, and strong battery life, at least with strong light, low light, flashing and other functions.

Other emergency equipment: survival whistle, compass, water filter, candle, spare battery, map, windproof lighter, mechanical watch, etc.

These precautions must be kept in mind!

1. Climbing snow-capped mountains should be done according to one's ability and fully prepared.

2. Walk together and connect with ropes when passing through the cracks. The distance between adjacent two people is 10-12 meters.

3. If the injury is not serious, the prepared medicine can be used. If you need rescue, you can tie brightly colored ribbons around your body.

4. When walking, keep your steps light and steady, and walk on the footprints of the person in front of you. Don't scream or sing loudly when the snow doesn't look steady. Because sometimes, sound waves can also affect snow, causing it to cave in.

Be sure to pay attention to safety!
